This Association represents parents/guardians of students in 96 Community and Comprehensive Schools. The Association at local level is made up of representatives from areas feeding into the local school. There is a regional structure comprising of seven regions. Each school nominates two parents to attend Regional Meetings. At regional level a committee is appointed to carry out the duties.

Our National Executive comprises delegates from each of the seven regions:

Dublin – 6 reps
Southeast – 2 reps
Southern – 3 reps
Midlands North – 2 reps
Midlands South – 2 reps
Western – 3 reps
Northwest – 2 reps
Northeast – 2 reps

The Executive meets on a six-weekly basis with officer meetings as required.
We have 4 members on the National Parents Council Post Primary who work to deliver the best education system for all students in second level education.

Paccs runs regional and information & training meetings for parents around the country. Members of the Executive run talks for Parents Associations in any Community or Comprehensive school upon request.

We meet with our partners in education on an annual basis to discuss current issues arising from our interaction with our parent body. These include DES,SEC,ACCS, ASTI, TUI, NAPD and opposition spokespersons on education.

We hold our AGM in March of each year, where elections for membership of our National Executive takes place. The President is then elected from members of the incoming Executive.
